At the Houston SPCA, the newest resident came in on Friday severely matted, urine soaked, flea-infested, underweight and with painful skin lesion as a result of his matted coat. His matting was so bad, the poor little guy had to be sedated to allow his rescuers to relieve his discomfort and pain.
Once he was no longer weighed down by all that hair, his personality began to appear. His rescuers named him Snickerdoodle because of his spunky attitude.
“He keeps begging our veterinary staff for pets and attention,” the organization posted on their Facebook page, ” and they are all too happy to give it to him.”
