Covid positive dog died

Everyone is freaking out because first covid-positive dog has died

It has been reported that the first Covid-positive dog has died and everyone is freaking out. Before you join the masses, it is critical to point out that the dog was 17 years of age and the true cause of death has not been determined.

As reported by Fox News, the elderly Pomeranian died shortly after being released from quarantine, and was cleared of having the deadly virus. The dog, who lived in Hong Kong, had tested a “weak positive” for Covid-19 and was placed into quarantine as a precaution.

After being cleared to return home, the pooch passed away and her 60-year-old owner declined having a necropsy performed.

Bottom line, the dog lived a very long life. Seventeen years is commendable and it seems highly unlikely that Covid-19 had anything to do with her demise.

Just being put into quarantine could have had an impact on a 17 year old dog! The owner is so lucky she held on until she got home to them. Rest in peace sweep pup, my sincere condolences to the owner.

Quote pulled from article reads: Bottom line, the dog lived a very long life. Seventeen years is commendable and it seems highly unlikely that Covid-19 had anything to do with her demise.

How exactly is saying the dog likely died of old age inciting panic?
