At the Fort Worth Animal Care & Control, a three-month-old puppy needs emergency help. His name is Rocky, and this little fellow is not eating or drinking and vomiting bile.

A volunteer tells Rocky’s heartbreaking story:

“I saw him on Friday in this same room in the same position. He’s marked with a pending adoption. (No one is going to adopt him in this condition. I’ll ask about contacting them.

Sunday he was in the same spot looking worse and notes on 6/12 say he was not eating or drinking.”

The latest notes from the shelter states Rocky has tested negative for Parvo.

Rocky 44493388 is 3 mos old, not eating or drinking and vomiting bile

I emailed and asked for a ck and new notes now are:
Pet had watery brown stool that had a metallic smell. Parvo test was negative. Fecal was negative. Temp was 101.0. Moved to MTW office treating as Parvo and monitoring for a couple days.”

Rocky is available for adoption, foster or rescue! Adoptions must be done in person. Fosters must be DFW local. Do not call the shelter.

Rescue tags must be sent via EMAIL: [email protected]

Adopter/rescue will assume all financial responsibility for veterinary care

This animal is located at Fort Worth Animal Care and Control/Chuck Silcox Adoption Center, 4900 Martin Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76119

  1. This precious little treasure really needs a full vet exam….. Poor precious little treasure…… I wonder if he has megaesophagus? It’s very difficult for dogs to eat/drink with this condition. They must be fed and given water whilst sitting up in a special chair.
