Emaciated dog found near death in Dallas

This week, an emaciated dog was discovered near death at an Oncor site in Dallas, Texas. The skin and bones dog, dubbed Cecelia, was found near coils at the site and it is likely that she would have died if she had not been found.

On Thursday, Dallas Dog – Rescue.Rehab.Reform., wrote:

They said she dug a hole and laid in there near some coils they said she was lifeless! She is in being rushed to Animal Diagnostic Clinic in Dallas off Trinity. She is being straight in case a blood transfusion or feeding tube is needed. She will get a full work up from the experts on staff! We are calling her Cecelia.

Cecelia is not out of the woods. The rescue group writes:

Cecelia is at the Animal Diagnostic Clinic in Dallas. She has had the initial consult. They have done her blood work she is slightly anemic, parvo negative full of hook and whip worms. She is extremely dehydrated and body scale a 0. They will continue testing and will begin a more extensive examination.

She is having trouble maintaining her body temperature 🤒! They are keeping her on fluids and a warmer to help regulate her temperature!

She is not able to stand or walk at this point! She is so weak and little or no muscle mass.

She will remain hospitalized all weekend she is in guarded condition!
