On Monday night, a Milwaukee resident’s elderly dog was shot and killed during George Floyd protests in the area. According to multiple sources, the 14-year-old German shepherd sustained severe injuries when someone in the crowd shot the dog.

Chief Alfonso Morales commented on the cruel act:

What is peaceful about a group of people marching (Monday) night at 11:00 p.m…when an individual from that crowd goes to a resident and shoots their dog?”

As reported by WTMJ News, the dog was being walked when his owner got into a verbal argument with someone who almost hit them with a car.

Anyone with information about the person who shot the German shepherd is asked to call the Milwaukee police at (414) 935-7401 or Milwaukee Crime Stoppers at (414) 224-TIPS.

  1. First they try to run over the poor owner and their dog and then shoot the dog! I am so sick of people and their guns killing poor innocent animals. May the POS that did this rot in hell for killing an innocent dog! My sincere condolences to the owner in their loss.

  2. The article says that the owner got into an argument with someone in a car (not any of the marching protestors) and then his dog was shot. It is much more likely that the person who shot the dog was either the driver or a passenger in that car as opposed to some anonymous someone passing by who is marching to protest police brutality. Since the source is the police, I am extremely skeptical of their account. I think they are blaming the people who are demanding they stop killing and abusing civilians because they want to discredit the movement and the people seeking justice.
