An elderly dog is confused and distraught after being surrendered by his owner to a busy California animal control agency. The 13-year-old dog, named Chloe, was handed over to the Los Angeles Animal Services – East Valley Shelter on November 4.
Chloe’s advocate writes:
13 YR Old CHLOE #A1958203 is a Very Sad BOY (yes his name is Chloe) who was surrendered by his family – CHLOE is upset and needs Help getting out of the E. Valley LA City Shelter – CHLOE’s owner said he showed aggression to their baby and sometimes people – CHLOE let me go into his cage and took treats from me (i put them near him and he ate them) he got close to me with no issue – I went slow and talked gently to him
Adding:
not sure if HE can see/hear all that well (maybe that was an issue) – he was trembling and very unhappy (no fault of shelter – he is just scared and not used to being in a cage)
