Elderly dog found safe

Elderly, deaf dog stolen from car found weeks later

There is happy resolution for a family whose elderly, deaf dog was stolen from their vehicle two weeks ago. As reported by ABC 7 News, the 16-year-old, one-eyed, deaf dog was returned to Andrews and Clare Herron by Ricardo Enriquez Torres, who found him earlier this week in an alley.

The senior dog, Soybean, was taken on December 15 from the Silver Lake area of Los Angeles. His family put up flyers and offered up a $5,000 reward for his safe return. Given the dog’s advanced age, his owners worried that they would never see him again.

But the Torres family was able to get Soybean back to his family, and they even refused the generous reward. Soybean’s family decided to donate the reward funds to area rescues and shelters and then they went a step further for the family who brought their beloved dog home…they raised funds for them to use as they wish.

On the GoFundMe, the family writes:

We made this GoFundMe page for this wonderful family to do as they wish. We are going to start it off, and we hope some of you will pitch in a little to bless 2020 to be the best NEW YEAR, because it really will be for us.
