An elderly German shepherd, reported to be between 17 and 18 years of age, is at a busy California animal control. According to the Saving Carson Shelter Dogs Facebook page, her owners are aware that she is at the shelter, but they do not want to save her. In fact, it is reported that her family wants her to be euthanized.
The page’s post reads:
UPDATE! Her owner knows she is at the shelter and she said she wants her euthanized because she’s too old and having seizures and she’s mostly blind at 18 years old. 💔💔 Shelter says she needs to be out by Sunday or she will be euthanized
The clock is ticking for this old girl. She has lived a very long life – she deserves better than having it end alone in a California animal control agency.
