Drunk man shot and killed dog who was hiding beneath bed

A South Carolina man, who had been “heavily drinking,” fatally shot a dog who was hiding under a bed in his Spartanburg home. As reported by Fox News, Randy White was drunk when he retrieved a gun and fired under the bed at the family dog – killing the pooch on Wednesday.

White’s fiancée told the police that the dog killer turned his anger on her when she and her child tried to flee the home. She claims that White grabbed her hair and told her that she could not leave the house.

From the incident report:

the women told officers that Randy White had been drinking heavily and when he was searching for the remote control to a TV under the bed in their bedroom, the dog, which frequently hides under the bed, began growling at him. So, the woman told police White left the room, returned with a gun, told her to get off the bed, and then got down on his knees and fired twice. One of the bullets hit the dog and killed the animal.

White dumped the dead dog into the trash after the shooting. He is now facing multiple charges, including: domestic violence second degree, discharging a firearm into a dwelling, and ill-treatment of animals.
