A scared dog anxiously looking and hoping for his owner to return was discovered tied and tangled up in his leash in Sunset Beach, California on Wednesday. A note was found in his bag stating the owner who abandoned him, could no longer caring for this boy.

“I can’t possibly imagine how this baby has felt being tied up all night, tangled in his leash abandoned by his person with his bag of belongings! My heart bleeds for him,” a rescuer posted on social media hoping for help.

“Meet Trigger. 2 year old Trigger (#A1695824) was found tied to a bench in Huntington Beach CA, with all his belongs, & a note from his owner stating he could no longer “afford him”. When rescuers found him, he was tangled in his leash & extremely frightened. Rightfully so.”
He is described as a neutered, two-year-old black and white neutered bully mix – found in the jurisdiction of Huntington Beach on September 30, 2020.
Trigger is microchipped and may be held at the shelter during a 30 day investigation hole. If you would like to foster Trigger, please reach out to: @saferescueteam or Markelle Cooper Pineda.
