A dog was seriously hurt when wire was wrapped around his body. According to the rescue group, Dallas Dog – Rescue. Rehab. Reform., the dog was not an unfortunate stray who happened to get entangled in wire:
Gus was found with WIRE wrapped around his torso! He HAD OWNERS and the wound is over an INCH DEEP!
He was dehydrated, anemic, he is ERICHLEA and HEARTWORM POSITIVE covered in TICKS and CACTUS thorns. He army crawls around, refusing to make eye contact with us and shakes in FEAR! What did they do to him?! 😡
The rescue group explains that the wire around Gus’ body was intentionally placed there in a misguided home neuter attempt:
Someone thought it would be a good idea to wrap a wire around his torso to castrate him. The wire was wrapped so tight it left a wound 1-2 inches wide and a little over an inch deep.
Gus is suffering from physical and emotional harm – his rescuers have stated that he crawls and shakes in fear, and refuses to make eye contact. But things are going to get better – Gus has undergone surgery and he is being treated for a wide variety of ailments which are the result of ongoing neglect.
