The Humane Law Enforcement team at the Pennsylvania SPCA is hoping to find whoever is responsible for the abandonment of a disfigured dog who was found in a park last week. The dog, dubbed Lovie, was found alone, inside a stone structure in Pennypack Park.
The Pennsylvania SPCA writes:
her abandonment wasn’t our largest concern. Instead, it was her mangled face, which has left her nasal passageways compromised with no nostrils visible. While she can breathe from her mouth, she may never again breathe normally.
Expressing their commitment to finding whoever is responsible for her pain and suffering:
Our Humane Law Enforcement team is on the case, following leads and ensuring that every single person sees Lovie’s face. , . We are not only committed to ensuring Lovie has the very best medical care, but our Officers are also committed to finding justice for this little girl.
Nicole Wilson, Director of Humane Law Enforcement at the PSPCA said:
While there are many things we do not yet know about Lovie’s story and how she ended up abandoned in the vast woodlands of Pennypack Park seemingly left to die, we do know there is someone out there who knows this puppy.
