Law enforcement described a “devastating scene of cruelty” at the property of a South Carolina couple suspected of operating a puppy mill operation. As reported by Fox Carolina, nearly 150 dogs, and dozens of other animals, were found earlier this week at the couple’s Indian Mound Road residence in Laurens County.
The suspected puppy mill operators are identified as Barbara Timms and Barry Davis; they are facing animal cruelty charges because of the deplorable conditions at the residence and property. In a release on Wednesday, the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office stated:
Staff from the Laurens County Animal Control, as well as the Anderson PAWS organization are working diligently to properly remove each and every animal from this residence, evaluate their health, and ensure that these animals are properly taken care of.

This was truly a devastating scene of cruelty.
The additional animals found at the property include:
2 cats
107 chickens
10 ducks
8 rabbits
The investigation is ongoing and more charges may be forthcoming.
