Update: Adopted!!

A homeless shelter dog in Wichita, Kansas, stares at the floor of her kennel run – her depression is readily apparent and heartbreaking to observe. The Kansas Humane Society posted several photos of two-year-old Venetia, writing:

Breaks my heart. 💔💔💔💔😭😭😭

Venetia spends the majority of her time either staring at other dogs being adopted or staring at the floor.

You can tell the only thing this poor baby wants is a home of her own.

How heartbreaking it must be to see other dogs happily interacting with adopters. How painful it must be to see people choosing to take other dogs home…watching their joyful interactions from behind the glass walls of her lonely kennel.

Please help Venetia find a family of her own – she is clearly depressed and could use a friend.
