A cruelty investigation has been launched following the discovery of two dogs tortured and shot at a campground in Washington state. On Saturday, the Skamania County Sheriff’s Office issued a release about the animal cruelty case, writing:
The Skamania County Sheriff’s Office is requesting help from the public regarding an animal cruelty case which occurred within Skamania County near Sunset Falls Campground.
According to the authorities, the dogs were found on May 9, at a dispersed campsite off of the U.S.F.S. 42 Road, approximately 6.4 miles east of Sunset Falls Campground. Someone had shot the young Rottweilers two to three times, and then abandoned them.
The authorities report that the female dog survived the shooting, but had to be euthanized later because of the severity of her injuries. The male did not survive.
