County dog warden seeks loving home for dying shelter dog

The dog warden in Richland County, Ohio, is hoping that someone can take in a dying shelter dog who was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer. The Richland County Dog Warden’s Office & Shelter reached out to the public for assistance on Saturday, writing of their desire to find the dog, named Factor, a loving home:

We are currently looking for someone to open their heart and home for our handsome big guy, Factor. Factor came to us as a stray with a very large mass on his back. We took him to the vet’s for surgery to remove the mass and received some very disheartening news 😔 Factor had a large mast cell tumor and has 6 months or less to live.

Adding:

We do not want this sweet boy to spend the rest of his life at the shelter and we are looking for someone that would be willing to be a hospice foster. If you have room in your heart and home for this big sweetie, please stop into the shelter at 810 N. Home Rd to meet Factor and fill out a foster application ❤️

Several people who have responded to the Facebook post have expressed an interest in meeting Factor and some have even stated that they will be meeting him tomorrow. Updates will be shared as they become available.
