In Easton, Pennsylvania, rescue volunteers found a cat frantically running around in the field near The Center of Animal Health & Welfare animal shelter on Saturday evening.
The disturbing situation, discovered shortly before the staff left for the evening, involved a container pushed onto the cat’s head and then set on fire.
“Ember wasn’t running; he was fighting for his life. This happened 30 minutes before we were closing,” the non-profit rescue organization posted on their social media page.
One can only imagine what would have happened to the cat, now dubbed Ember, had no one been around to help. Miraculously, the fire did not consume the innocent’s cat head, and he is expected to make a full recovery.
Ember will get the life he deserves. Please be a partner in hope to Ember and those who need us most.
