A cat in Chicago, Illinois, was seriously injured after falling from a tall tree which she had been stuck in for days. The cat found herself high in a dead tree for at least three days and she was either too frightened, or simply unable, to come back down. Animals lovers tried to no avail to get local agencies to help.
Finally, a local tree service offered to save the cat, but tragedy struck when the cat got scared and jumped. A social media post states:
Cat is down. He jumped when they got too close. Possible broken legs. Being taken to the ER. The tree service donated their time for free. They cried when the cat fell. Fernandez Tree Service is the company.
This morning, Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control updated page followers:
“LULLABY BABY” FELL FROM A TREE and needs your help! We got the word this morning from Animal Control that a kitty had been up in a dead tree since Wednesday—and had just fallen. It was immediately apparent that the exhausted cat had broken at least one leg. No vets were on duty at the shelter yet so Good Samaritan Jess T. whisked the Injured orange tabby to Med Vet as latest victim to require the care of Friends’ After Hours Crisis Care Program. We’re waiting now to learn the extent of her injuries. Any financial help you can give is greatly appreciated.
