A dog, suffering with horrible injuries, was rescued today from a watery ditch in Kentucky. The German shepherd, dubbed Arrow, has bones that are obviously broken, and abrasions on his body – his condition was recounted in a Facebook post from the Gallatin County Animal Shelter on Monday morning:

Today I was taking a dog to rescue and came across some ears sticking out of the grass in the ditch.

I immediately turned around and it was a dog. You can tell he was laying there in the water for a long time. He has two obvious broken front legs. And wounds on the face and mouth. Heavy and hard breathing.

Arrow was transported to an animal clinic to be stabilized.
