At the Brownsville Animal Shelter in Texas, a broken and defeated stray was scheduled to be euthanized on Friday. Covered in mange and coughing, someone who may have loved her at one time grew bored when she needed help the most. And instead of rushing her to a veterinarian for treatment, she was disposed of as if she were an old shoe.
When picked up by Animal Control, she was brought to the shelter. Just skin and bones, it appeared she had just given up. Fortunately the staff and volunteers reached out for help – Rescue Dogs Rock NYC stepped in, and in a last minute reprieve, her life changed.
Welcome Dotty; this forlorn pup is now on her way to the organization’s partner veterinarian hospital where she will be receiving life-saving care thanks to everyone who played a part in her rescue.
