A lonely young dog is breaking staff hearts at a Kentucky animal shelter. The two-year-old Labrador retriever, named Cole, desperately wants to be loved. On Thursday afternoon, the Kentucky Humane Society posted two photos of the homeless pooch, writing:

Our baby Cole really wants someone to come take him home. Cole is a two-year-old Labrador Retriever who sits by the door in his room all day hoping someone will walk in and fall in love with him.

Adding:

He’s breaking our staffs’ hearts! This beautiful boy is a total love bug. He is very playful but not too rough!

The shelter requires a meet and greet for potential adopters and it is noted that Cole is not appropriate for households with cats. Learn more about this lonesome pup at this link to the shelter’s website.
