Two bonded, senior dogs are homeless following the death of their person. The eight-year-old dogs, Ellie and Snoopy, are with the Windsor/Essex County Humane Society in Ontario, Canada, and they need to find a new home where they can spend the rest of their days together.
The animal welfare agency wrote a post on the dogs’ behalf on Tuesday morning:
For the last 8 years we have really relied on one another…from the day the little guy came home we have never been apart!
Explaining (from the dogs’ perspective) how their life was turned upside down:
One day though…our person went to sleep but never woke up no matter how much we nudged him…
And the need for a one home that can accommodate both dogs:
We are hoping for a somewhat quiet home since that is what we are used to and a fenced yard would be awesome! If you could love me and my brother Snoopy for the rest of our lives then please fill out an application to adopt us!”
