A one-year-old Australian and German shepherd mix hasn’t had much of a run of good luck. On April 17, 2020, Benji was surrendered to the Devore Animal Shelter in California by his owner who was moving into an apartment.
Advocates were ecstatic a short time later when Benji was to be adopted, but life for this dog was not to go as planned.
Update: Benji’s adopter backed out. He was put up for adoption to next on list. Don’t know exact details of events but sometime during today (4/23) Benji scratched someone so he is now in quarantine to be released on 5/4.”
