Attorney helps senior cats at shelter

A New York criminal justice attorney has committed to doing something wonderful for the senior cats at the Niagara County SPCA. According to Spectrum Local News, attorney Dominic Saraceno made the decision to help older shelter cats after taking his niece to the shelter and encountering an affectionate, elderly cat who was doing his utmost to touch his niece’s leg. The cat’s affectionate personality made Saraceno’s five-year-old niece fall in love.

Saraceno wound up adopting 15-year-old, Stormy, who has a laundry list of health issues – none of which detract from his loving personality. Saraceno said:

“Stormy has had such an amazing impact on our lives, it opened my eyes to how much a senior cat can contribute to a family.”

Stormy’s impact on his life inspired him to make his generous offer to cover the adoption fees for cats 10 years and older from the animal shelter. He hopes his commitment will encourage people to offer deserving, older cats, a loving home to spend the twilight of their life in.
