At 10 years of age, a German shepherd mix named Niko lost everything that he knew when his family surrendered him to a busy California animal control agency. Life turned upside down for the senior dog on February 2 when his owner left him at the Los Angeles County Animal Control – Baldwin Park facility.
Now Niko sits in his kennel run and waits. More than likely, Niko is waiting for the familiar sound of his owner’s voice, but instead, all he hears are the voices of strangers.
The odds are stacked against Niko. He is a senior dog who has no safe “stray holding” period. You can help improve Niko’s odds of adoption by taking a moment to share his information.
