Arrested! Woman caught on video attacking dog

A woman caught on home surveillance video, beating and biting a dog, has been identified and arrested. As reported by KRCR News, the woman, not yet publicly identified, was taken into custody by the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office.

The abused dog has also been found and is being cared for. Haven Humane Society writes:

Great news!! The dog is now safe and in our custody. Thank you all for your help in bringing this dog to safety.

A search began in earnest for the woman, and the dog, after the home surveillance video was released. The video reveals heartbreaking footage of the woman yanking on the frightened dog, repeatedly biting his ear, and throwing him to the ground.
