Anyone have room for a geriatric pooch? Meet Joey (Atticus) who is a 10-year-old altered male Great Dane combination. His stray hold ended on Monday, and this boy needs out of the shelter now as per an emergency plea from Carson Animal Care Shelter in California.

A volunteer for the shelter writes:

He came in as a stray, has some skin tags, small masses on his body, has trouble with his back legs getting up and down. VERY SWEET but Shelter wants him OUT in 48 HOURS or he will be EUTHANIZED!! He NEEDS a FOSTER and RESCUE “NOW to save his life! Please SHARE!”

The  shelter is currently closed but ADOPTIONS and RESCUES can be done by APPOINTMENT Please call (310) 523-9566.

    I feel so helpless here in Seattle. I hope this precious treasure finds a new home ASAP!!! He should spend the rest of his life with a loving furever family vs. dying alone, afraid & (worst of all) unloved at the shelter…….
