Captive animals appear to be starving inside of an abandoned zoo in Thailand. Minh Nyugen, who works in Thailand, made the grim discovery this month and recorded the animals inside. On the YouTube video, uploaded this week, Nyugen states:
We’ve come across an abandoned zoo still filled with animals. The owner has gone bankrupt and times are hard during this pandemic. Please watch and share
As reported by The Thaiger, the owner of the zoo refuses to release the tigers. The news agency writes:
The tigers will not be released by the owners to anyone, authorities will check on the tigers and other wildlife later today but have said they will not confiscate or ask for a hand over. Owners have said they will keep the tigers for a newly build zoo on Phuket.
