An ailing senior dog, nine years of age, was surrendered to a busy animal control agency when he needed his family the most. The dog, name unknown, was surrendered to the Los Angeles County (Carson) Animal Services facility on Sept. 2. The Facebook page, Saving Carson Shelter Dogs, writes:

I’m an approximately 9 year old male Shiba Inu. I am not yet neutered. I have been at the Carson Animal Care Center since 9/2. I will be available on 9/8. You can visit me at my temporary home at C413. My former family who owned me for had to give me up because they couldn’t afford the care I need.

Medical notes indicate that the dog suffers from a multitude of issues, including infected ears, missing/worn teeth, road burn, ringworm, dematitis, demodex, and weak hind legs – he is in need of a loving home, and veterinary care.
