For over 2400 days,  a dog named Sandi called an Indiana animal shelter “home.” The now 12-year-old dog spent exactly 2461 days at the Marion-Grant County Humane Society before a couple decided that she was “the one.”

Sandi’s six year stint ended when Erin and Carrie Rhodes met her and fell in love.  Prior to the Rhodes, every person who had visited the shelter overlooked Sandi – a dog who outlasted every shelter employee during her lengthy stay. On January 3, the shelter let Facebook followers know that Sandi’s happily-ever-after had finally come true:

Wow! 2,461 days in the shelter! Today Sandi found her forever family! Happy Tails beautiful girl! Enjoy the good life!

Enjoy your new life Sandi!
