On Monday evening, nine small dogs hit the “lucky” jackpot. In South Texas, the dogs lived tethered to chains, under cars, under the house and in the dirt. When their owner called Animal Control, the dogs were soon to be carted off to a local kill shelter. Because of a lack of funding, overcrowding of stray pets, a lack of adopters and their medical needs practically guaranteed the dogs would have been euthanized.
Rescue Dogs Rock NYC were called to help. Volunteers gathered to help trap the dogs and bring them to safety. All of the dogs are now safe and will need medical care.
Check out these beauties – surely they will be popular when ready for adoption. In the meantime, let’s help get them all healthy, groomed and anxious to have new lives – the way dogs are meant to live.
