An 18-year-old Maltese found himself at the Baldwin Park Shelter on Saturday. No doubt, animal advocates have been unable to understand how anyone could leave their senior pet at a city shelter, but now it’s time to help Milky and make his remaining days, weeks, months or even a year the best ever.

PetHarbor adoption listing:

  1. PLEASE GIVE MILKY ALL THE LOVE YOU CAN POSSIBLY GIVE! IT IS SICK SUBHUMANS LIKE THIS LUNATIC OWNER THAT SHOULD BE DUMPED IN THEIR ELDERLY YEARS!

  2. I can’t believe that a family would “dump”an 18 year old dog……. speaking for my family, we would be ecstatic for our furbaby reaching 18 (& hope for more years with our precious treasure)……. Do these POS owners honestly think there is a long line of potential adopters for a frail, elderly furbaby?

Milky deserves a loving family who will treasure him as a beloved family member. He needs to be snuggled and cuddled everyday whilst he’s still alive. When it’s time for that sad final farewell, he deserves to be in the arms of his fave person.

The thought that this precious little treasure gave his family years of love and devotion only to be “dumped” as a senior makes me both sick inside and furious….. IMHO it’s tragic that an elderly furbaby is “dumped” at a high kill shelter to spend their last time alive wondering where their family is and then be euthanized in a back room alone and unloved…….

I wish the absolute worst for the POS family who dumped Milky. I hope they realize what a fantastic example they have set for their kids: when Grammy & Grampy are old, dump them into a crummy senior center and forget about them…….
