Police in West Haven, Connecticut, are seeking answers in a disturbing case of likely animal cruelty. As reported by WTNH News, the body of a small dog was discovered on fire in the Sandy Point Beach parking lot on Friday morning.

Police were initially called out to investigate an “uncontained fire” in the area of Beach Street, near Third Avenue/Second Avenue. When the flames were extinguished, the body of what is believed to be a year-old miniature Schnauzer was found. It is speculated that the dog had been doused in accelerant.

The authorities are hoping that someone saw something to help them learn more about this incident. Anyone who observed any suspicious activity between 10 p.m. July 4 and 1 a.m. July 5 is asked to reach out to the West Haven Police Department (203) 937-3900.

  1. Pure Evil. Whoever did this will burn in Hell forever for their cruelty…….

Poor precious little treasure, I hope your murderers are found and locked up forever…….

Please look for MacKitty in Heaven and RIP amongst loving friends.

Whilst I am not an investigator, I would be checking Craig’s List and NextDoor for recent “free to good home” ads listing dogs like this dog and also “lost dogs” listings…… someone out there knows exactly who did this…….
