The California woman, caught on video dragging a dog behind a scooter, has lost her job and she may be facing criminal charges. As reported by Bakersfield Now, 39-year-old Elaine Rosa is no longer employed as a contracted psychologist at Kern Valley State Prison and she could spend time behind bars if she is charged and convicted.

The allegations

Rosa came under fire after she was caught dragging a small dog behind an electric scooter on January 6. Brandon Sanders witnessed the cruel situation and confronted Rosa. Sanders claims that Rosa was “indignant” and stated that she would call the authorities.

The dog, named Zebra, who belongs to someone other than Rosa, suffered injuries in the dragging incident – the dragging left Zebra with bloodied paws which had to be treated by a veterinarian. As reported by WECT News, Rosa was fired from her job just one day after the dog dragging incident.

The Bakersfield Police Department has recommended that Rosa face charges – she could face a $10,000 find and/or up to a year behind bars. The Kern County District Attorney is reviewing the case.

The “Smiling” photo op” while holding that poor little bleeding dog Just Blew MY MIND” It was more than Apparent she had Not One IOTA of Concern about the injuries the little guy had suffered…A PSYCHOLOGIST!! Wow she plays a “MAJOR” part in Healing Process of EVERY INDIVIDUAL SHE IS TREATING>>>SCARY to say the VERY LEAST!!! I am happy that the little guy was able to survive and overcome his injuries….

Good, she with her smirk on her face deserves nothing less. I hope she does go to jail and gets fined. It’s a good thing I didn’t confront her, if she was “indignant” and stated that she would call the authorities” on me, I’d tell her go ahead, she would have landed in jail sooner.

  3. Animal Advocate says:

She is a disgrace to the profession of psychology. Of all professions, she should know the direct correlation of animal abuse and human violence, and she worked for a prison! Hope she ends up in there and animal loving prisoners take care of her and serve their own brand of justice!

well it is about damn time that someone was held accountable for their actions. poor little dog with those bloody paws. pos female.

  5. Adrienne says:

A contracted psychologist at Kern Valley State Prison no less and does something like this to a tiny defenseless dog. She should be an inmate in that state prison, not a psychologist. Hope she gets jail time and pays for the medical expenses of this dog.

When I was working at a hotel after leaving the police department, a man checked in, and we got to talking.

I shared about the trauma of working in a police department, and not accepting the cruelty to K9’s, and he spoke of having PTS from having worked as a prison psychologist, because of the physical, and emotional cruelty of the guards, and other personnel, in penitentiaries (a scenario which was replicated in the Stanford Prison experiment).

So, it appears that either you’re bothered by what goes on, try to stop it and pay a price, or turn a blind eye to preserve your own position (which is what the vast majority do), or else you are, or become, one of them. It looks like this woman was one of them.

That savage maggot skank is a psychologist??? God help us. The world is in trouble with that POS treating people with mental and emotional issues? I’ve read everything now. I’m sorry that thing is an insult to anybody who has a psych degree. I hope she is prosecuted to the fullest extent allowed. She should be. If she goes to jail someone will wipe the smirk off that fucking ugly face of hers.

  8. Luana Duncan says:

Thank goodness Zebra is ok! I know her paws were beat up, but I’m glad to know she’s doing ok! As for this criminal that did this to Zebra, may she get the prosecution she deserves!! All of it and more!!!
