Dog confused after family surrendered him to shelter
Spread the love

Why am I here? If dogs could speak, Heisenburg, a Labrador retriever mix, would surely ask that question. He undoubtedly wonders where his family has gone and why he is suddenly alone.

Heisenburg had a home, but after five years, his family loaded him into the car and drove him to the Greene County Animal Shelter of Virginia.

On Monday, the shelter wrote:

This is a face of a dog that has had a family for the 5 yrs of his life, but tomorrow will have been a shelter dog for 2 weeks without much interest…

Adding:

Heisenburg is begging in this photo for someone to come and take him home. Heisenburg is a very sweet boy that we were told by his previous family is crate trained, housbroken, seems fine with kids and other dogs.

Heisenburg’s family told the shelter staff that they think he may have killed their cat…whether or not he actually did is not known, but their allegations mean that this dog should not join a home with cats.

Find this boy a home

The shelter is hopeful that someone can help them find Heisenburg a new home – with a family who will not give up on him. They wrote:

Heisenburg has been neutered and also UTD on his rabies shot. Please help us find this boy a family as he is truly wanting and needing one. Heisenburg’s adoption fee is $95 cash or check.
