When a dog is so defeated, her face shows her desperation

Candy’s heartbreaking photo has been making the rounds on social media. The eight-year-old brown and white American bulldog appears as if she has never had much love. Her coat is filthy, her eyes look down as if in mourning, and she seems ready to accept her fate – that is no one wants to give her a home and that means she has no hope of leaving the Miami-Dade Animal Services alive.

Candy is available for adoption. No one has inquired about her, and it is now up to animal advocates to share her plight and find someone who will love and care for her.

  1. My heart is breaking for her, she is so sad…….. Poor precious treasure knows that she is not wanted……. she is so precious and fragile…… I just want to snuggle her and reassure her that the world is “ok” and that she will be “ok” too….. there has to be someone local who can open their heart and home for her…..

I hope a rescue group can save this precious treasure. She deserves to be treated as a beloved family member for however long a time she has left and not die in the shelter alone, afraid and (worst of all) unloved…….

Our home is “full” (for the next ~6 months) & we are too far away from Florida (Washington)…….

  2. PLEASE PLEASE–BE THE ONE WHO GIVES CANDY THE LOVE SHE NEVER HAD! THERE IS NO GREATER GIFT!

THIS IS A HIGH AND FAST KILL SHELTER!

  3. I am very very interested in Candy she looks so sweet I live on a farm I don’t have shipping money so if you could find in your heart to send I will give a wonderful and safe home. Please. We all get lonely and old
