A senior dog, eight years of age, has been red-listed at a busy California animal control agency. The dog, dubbed Blake, is unable to use his rear legs. Two days ago, the volunteer-run Facebook page, Saving Riverside Shelter Dogs, wrote:
On euthanasia list!

BLAKE #A1505354 – he did not come in with the wheels.
The dog was taken in at the Riverside Animal Control agency on March 2 – he became available for adoption on March 7. Is there anyone out there who wants to take on a disabled, senior dog? Does Blake stand a chance of living out the remainder of his life?
Suffice to say, the odds of Blake being adopted are slim – few people choose to take on a dog who is unable to walk. You can lend this differently-abled dog a hand by sharing this article, with his adoption information.

I have offered to sponsor Blake until he is adopted. Waiting to hear from them.
Haven’t received a response. Does anybody know what is happening to Blake?

For some reason, my last comment was not posted. Please please spread the word to the “special needs” dog rescue groups. Facebook would reach many!
Thank you very much.
Does anybody know what has happened to Blake! It is so frustrating when there is SO MUCH interest in helping an animal, and then suddenly there is ZERO follow up!
Is that because they KILL the animals and don’t want us to know about it?! Many of us have offered to sponsor and also pay for the new wheelchair! What gives?!
