Waiting and waiting but no one showed up to adopt Sandy

At the South Los Angeles Animal Shelter, a sweet 10-year-old senior has been waiting and waiting for her person to come for her. According to the shelter, Sandy had a possible “owner” but no one ever showed up, and so the waiting continues, but not without the consequences of heartbreaking disappointment.

“Last weekend she was really friendly, but this weekend she seemed really depressed. I feel so bad for her, she obviously thought she would see them again,” a volunteer wrote on social media hoping to attract an adopter who could fill the void in Sandy’s heart.
