An Oregon veterinarian, who allegedly was caught taping closed the mouth of a dog who was being euthanized in early October, has been arrested and is facing animal abuse charges. As reported by Fox 43 News, Dr. Daniel Koller of the Companion Pet Clinic, in Beaverton, was arrested on Thursday following an investigation by the Oregon Humane Society and the Beaverton Police Department.
Koller is the veterinarian who shocked Allan Worman last month when his 14-year-old dog, Coco, was brought to the vet clinic to be put down. Worman alleged that Koller taped the elderly dog’s mouth shut and attempted to put the dog down away from her owner.
Another dog owner alleges that Koller attacked a customer’s seven-month-old dachshund Bleu. Blue’s owner, Jose Figueroa, claims that the doctor grabbed the puppy by the mouth and “squeezed hard.” Figueroa also alleges that Koller dangled the pup off of the exam table, causing Bleu to struggle breathing. Bleu died one day after the troubling veterinary appointment.
Koller was arrested and released – he is facing an aggravated animal cruelty charge and is due in court on November 26.
