A handsome dog, described as a “very good boy,” is waiting for someone to come and take him home after his family of the past two years returned him to a California animal shelter. The dog, a 5 to 7-year-old shepherd mix, is described as a well-rounded pooch who seems to like everyone and everything.

On March 7, a volunteer photographer wrote a Facebook post on Woodford’s behalf:

“Please keep sharing my friend Woodford ❤️ He is the sweetest boy that is kid, dog & cat friendly. He is also housebroken and knows basic commands. He is 5 years old and neutered. He is a very good boy.”

She also told the Pet Rescue Report:

He is dog, cat & kid friendly. He knows basic commands. When I asked him to sit, he gave me his paw to shake ❤️

You can help Woodford find a committed and loving family by taking a moment to share this article, with his adoption information.

This sweetheart would make some lucky person the perfect “best friend”. Praying HARD for his adoption or rescue!

This beautiful dog deserves better than this. I hope and pray he finds someone who will appreciate the treasure he is!
