A young dog, not even two years of age, appears to have led a life of neglect. The dog, name unknown, is filthy, her ears have been lopped off, and she appears to be utterly defeated.

The female dog, ID#A520817, arrived at the San Bernardino City Animal Control in California on January 11. Her stray hold ends on January 18.

Will anyone save her?

Will anyone come forward to save this young girl? Will she have the chance to enjoy a good life, with a loving owner? You can help make that possible by taking a moment to share this article, with her adoption information.

From Petharbor:

I am a female, white Anatolian Shepherd mix. Shelter staff think I am about 1 year and 6 months old. I have been at the shelter since Jan 11, 2019. If you are my owner, you must physically come to the shelter to claim me. We are located at 333 Chandler Place, San Bernardino, CA 92408. Our Lost & Found hours are Tuesday-Saturday 10:00 am to 5 pm. A picture ID (such as a driver’s license) is required to redeem me. There are also fees like impound, board and license that must be paid before I can go home.

Note: All inquiries about this dog must be made directly to the animal control agency. The Pet Rescue Report is not the point of contact.

  1. I know it is costly for a shelter to hold a lost dog, but if the fees the owners have to pay to retrieve their dog may be a lot more than they can afford, maybe that’s why people don’t come in to claim their dog because of the retrievable fees. Lower those fees for owners or help them somehow pay those fees to get their pet back. Owners make have been negligent, but give them another chance so they can get their dog back.
