A scared senior dog is urgently need of help in Texas. The 10-year-old dog, name unknown, has been at the Austin Animal Center since Oct. 1 and she needs to leave.

On Saturday, Classic Canines writes:

Urgent need to leave the shelter This little girl is at least 10 yrs old and in need of a patient and compassionate friend ASAP and additional medical care. She’s scared here and constantly on the look out for her people it seems.

Adding details about her size and personality:

She enjoys a good back scratch once she knows you (takes just minutes) and loves to explore outdoors. She has a bit of atrophy that makes her back legs appear as though she were walking on peg legs. She has at least one tooth but maybe not more. She’s tiny at about 6 lbs.

Of note provided by Classic Canines:

She has a requirement to exit the shelter environment urgently and is available for AAC foster with care provided by our Pflugerville partner clinic.

Please help this senior girl find a loving new home. Her Petharbor link can be found here.

  1. If I lived in the area, I would foster her in a heartbeat……. That poor, precious treasure…… my instinct is to want to snuggle her and reassure her that the world is “OK”……

Too bad no transportation from there to Northern California……. I absolutely love Chihuahuas and have many years of experience with them (& also with veterinary issues)……. I would love to help but I am geographically undesirable……
