In the Rio Grand Valley of Texas, Tiger was intentionally and critically injured. Sadly, he had been lying in an open field since early Friday morning and not moving. People passed by and did nothing to help. A Good Samaritan spotted the dog stumbling across the street, at which point he collapsed into a ditch. She hurried over to him and immediately called Rescue Dogs Rock NYC for help.
As of Sunday morning, Tiger continues to fight his toughest battle; he wants to live. Since having been rescued, he has been in and out of a coma, has eaten a small amount of food on his own and continues to receive intravenous nourishment and antibiotics around the clock.
Tragically Tiger had been shot in the head, and x-rays reveal bullet fragments in his head. When the animal advocate who saved him arrived at the emergency hospital, Tiger recognized her and tried to get up to move closer to her. He tried so hard:
