At the Greenville Animal Shelter in Texas, a disturbing video went viral late last week. Two dogs, found as strays, were shown being dragged into the shelter – the dogs heavily pregnant and both scared out of their minds.
Both dogs have now been rescued by Dallas Dog RRR – Rescue.Rehab.Reform. One of the dogs has already given birth to a litter of puppies in the back of the shelter. The other dog is due to give birth any day.
The dogs had been dumped in a field and were brought into the shelter to be saved, or so that may have been the intent, however a graphic video showed the dogs dragged while gagging on the tight leads and no one at the shelter seemingly to show any empathy for the scared pups.
The dogs are being transferred to the organization and will be receiving emergency veterinarian care and all followup treatment for the mother dogs and their puppies.
This is a 911 for the rescue organization. Help with the financial costs to help these dogs is needed.
