A three-year-old dog at Miami-Dade Animal Care with a congenital birth defect of both front legs took her “freedom ride” Sunday morning.
The rescue efforts for “Little Foot” began as soon as advocates spotted her photo on social media. Everyone wondered how the dog became a stray, but her welfare was far more important. According to Little Foot’s veterinarian examination, the dog was born with the malformation and was unable to walk. She will need a customized wheel chair to become mobile.
Animal advocates were pledging funds for her special needs – all of which have been promised to the approved rescue organization to help with her major expenses. She is currently eating and drinking – all good signs Little Foot is ready to go home and be loved.
By Saturday afternoon, Helping Paws22 had made plans to free her:
“Hang on Little Foot (we will change that name ) we are coming to break you out tomorrow. Took hours to make it all come together but we did. We have the confirmed hold with the shelter and will get her tomorrow morning. Thank you all for seeing the love that we see in her. She is perfect in my eyes.”
And here she is! Little Foot has been rescued. Her name will be changed. For those who pledged to help this adorable little one, please Paypal/ Helpingpaws22@yahoo.com/ Little Foot A2098852.
