Ultimate betrayal – dog dumped at shelter when family felt she was ‘too old’

A dog in Cocke County, Tennessee, has suffered the ultimate betrayal. Her family, to whom she was undoubtedly deeply devoted to, surrendered her to an animal shelter because they felt that she was too old.

Now, the senior dog is heartbroken – she refused to eat and barely moves. On Tuesday, the Facebook page, Friends Animal Shelter of Cocke County wrote:

The heartlessness of people never ceases to amaze us. This sweet loving girl has been a part of someone’s family for years and just dumped because she’s up in years. She has no idea why she’s here.

Adding:

She just needs a loving home with a couch to spend out the rest of her days… however numbered they may be. Come love on this sweet girl and take her home!

Will you please help this sweet girl find a new family who will love her for the rest of her days? You can find the Friends Animal Shelter of Cocke County Facebook page here.

It doesn’t matter what state this comes from, this is a classic excuse for dumping your elderly pet. I don’t know how anyone does that to a pet they have supposedly loved for so many years. I wish them nothing good and may they reap what they sow when they become elderly!

I hope the children of the adults who dumped this poor loyal and loving dog get dumped by their children when they are old.
