On Wednesday evening, three puppies were stolen from a shelter in Bayview, California. The Family Dog Rescue, intending to give these three puppies a new life, immediately appealed to the public for help on their social media page.
This morning, we found 3 of our puppies were stolen last night along with a lot of our donated computers. 2 of them are purebred Husky pups (4 months old, 1 male, 1 female) and 1 is a pitbull puppy (male) only several weeks old. If you see any new online postings on these pups let us know. We have filed a police report, are flooding our social media handles and in process of alerting local news casters. The husky pups have already been spayed/fixed, and are microchipped so they are not good for breeding, but they can be sold for quick cash. The pitbull pup has not received his microchip yet, is SICK and can potentially be used for breeding. we are SO WORRIED
We are offering a REWARD for the safe return of our puppies, no questions asked. Please help us spread the word! Let’s find our dogs!!
Photos of the stolen puppies are below. First is a 6 week old pitbull puppy with demodex mange. He needs his medication! The second and third are sisters Levi and Lara, 4 month old husky puppies – they are spayed and microchipped.
We believe the people who stole our puppies are trying to sell them on Craigslist. PLEASE SEND US ANY LEADS!!”
Also stolen was computer equipment and the contents of employees’ lockers.
The puppies were located via a Craigslist post. The Hayward Police Department arranged for the sting and met with the seller – two men have been arrested in connection with the robbery. The pitbull puppy is still missing.
Whoever has the six-week-old pitbull puppy is asked just to return him to the shelter so he can receive the medication he needs. That puppy has not been micro-chipped.
