Officials in Sacramento, California, are hopeful that someone will come forward to shed light on a disturbing discovery made in early August. As reported by KCRA News, someone dumped a green trash bin in a south Sacramento neighborhood – the trash container had six dead puppies inside.
The older Sacramento County trash can was found on August 4 in the 2400 block of Wacker Way in south Sacramento – the puppies inside are described as black and white “pit bull type” pups between the age of four and five months. Surveillance video in the area reveals that the can was left in the neighborhood on August 1, reports CBS Sacramento.
None of the puppies had any form of identification and their exact cause of death is unknown.
Anyone with information about the ownership of these puppies, or any other tip related to this situation, is asked to reach out to Chief animal control officer Jace Huggins at 916-808-5855.
