In the Rio Grand Valley of Texas, Tiger was intentionally and seriously injured. Sadly he had been lying in the open field since early Friday morning and not moving. People passed by and did nothing to help.
Fortunately, a Good Samaritan spotted the dog stumbling across the street at which point he collapsed into a ditch. She hurried over to him and immediately called for help.
“X-rays reveal Tiger was shot in the head through his eye and the bullet exited through his jaw,” Stacey Silverstein, co-founder of Rescue Dogs Rock NYC posted on social media, alerting animal advocates that help would be needed to do everything medically possible to save Tiger’s life.
On route to the Pet Dr.911 emergency veterinarian hospital, Tiger rose to his feet and walked over to his rescuers. He then collapsed as if he knew he had been rescued. Tragically, it is believed the dog had been injured two days ago. He is in renal failure and is currently in a coma.
Tiger’s prognosis is not known. He is receiving the best of medical care.
