In another tragic case of dogs left to perish from the heat in a hot car, a 65-year-old Rhode Island woman faces felony animal cruelty charges after her three dogs died.
According to Fox News, the dogs were found in a vehicle in the parking lot of a grocery store in Jamestown. The car had been left running, however the air-conditioning was not operative and the windows were shut. Temperatures outdoors exceeded 95 degrees; no water had been left for the dogs
The dogs, two Labrador retrievers, one-four-years old, one only seven months old, and a four-year-old Keeshound, could not be revived despite the efforts of bystanders and police officers.
The dogs were pronounced dead at a nearby veterinary office.
If found guilty, the owner of the dogs, Ann Garnett faces a maximum prison sentence of five years.
This is the middle of the summer. Even if your dogs give you those sad-eyed looks because they want to go for a car ride with you, leave them home!

Why do you take your dogs with you to do your grocery shopping on a hot day to begin with. Do you really think the dogs enjoy sitting in a hot car waiting for you? It’s one thing if you are running in to get a couple of items and it takes 5 or 10 minutes but to leave them so long that they could die like this is criminal! Sure, maybe the air failed but the dogs shouldn’t have been there to begin with!
DESERVES THE MAXIMUM SENTENCE IN HELL!
